Colorado's transition to a Universal Preschool (UPK) system begins January 17th, 2023!

Families will no longer be able to use D11.org/preschool for applications for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year.

One exception is if you did not qualify for Universal Preschool through the upk.colorado.gov website, you may submit a preschool application through our website here.

ALL families who want free preschool must apply through Colorado's Universal Pre-K Website.

Here are the steps you need to take in order to apply for D11 preschool classrooms:

1) Visit https://upk.colorado.gov 

2) Use the website to enter some simple information in order to get an "award" telling you how many hours of free preschool your child qualifies for. Proof of income is the only documentation you will need for the UPK application.

3) After receiving your "award," you can begin browsing for preschool programs. The site will allow you to submit your 1st/2nd/3rd choices. All D11 preschools will be listed. D11 will work to place students in their first-choice school. For your best chance at getting a spot in D11 preschool, we suggest also selecting other D11 preschool locations for your second and third choices. This will increase your chances of getting access to D11 programming, rather than being "kicked out" of our system.

4) When your request has been approved by the provider you selected, you will be notified. The provider (D11) will then reach out for next steps related to completing enrollment. It will take a few weeks to receive your notification.
