Pre Collegiate Programs

  • Pre-Collegiate Program

at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS)

Students participate in a three-year program consisting of an intensive summer experience at UCCS and fall and spring UCCS courses offered to Juniors and seniors to earn UCCS college credits. Students choose from one of five areas of study: Business, Education, Engineering, Health, or Human Services. 9th grade students attend an information session in the Fall, where they learn about the UCCS application process. Application information will also be sent to each high school's College & Career Counselor. If a student is chosen for the program D11 covers tuition, books, and fees.

Students must meet with HS College and Career Counselor to complete the applications with UCCS in October and November. Students will receive notification of acceptance from UCCS by the end of December. Accepted students attend a UCCS orientation session in January before they confirm their participation in the program they must confirm funding sponsorship which will be determined in January each year for students who are accepted.
