Ms. Sabrina Baugh

Sabrina Baugh is a Colorado Springs native and grew up in Widefield School District 3 and a graduated from Mesa Ridge High School.  While in High School she was a member of The Colorado Spring Youth Symphony, Young Concert Artist Youth Symphony, and the Mesa Ridge String Quartet.  She also taught private lessons to elementary students during her junior and senior year of high school.

She went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education with an emphasis in String Technique and a Master’s degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Conducting from Colorado State University. While attending CSU she was a performing member of the CSU Symphonic and Chamber Orchestras.  Sabrina also enjoyed performing regularly in small ensembles such as the Amati Quartet, the Maurerbaugh Trio and was an active sub for the Loveland Philharmonic. Ms. Baugh began her teaching career as a Para-professional for the Blevins Middle School orchestra for two years before beginning her student teaching assignment.  She began her full-time teaching career with Colorado Springs School District 11 in 2006 at Jenkins Middle School and Patrick Henry Elementary.  After a year she moved from Patrick Henry to Doherty High School, after 5 years of Jenkins and Doherty she moved to Wasson and Jenkins for a year then to Mitchell and Jenkins for 4 year.  She taught full time at Mitchell for 3 years teaching orchestra, music theory, and music explorations for the sever and special needs students.  In 2020 she continued at Mitchell but again spilt her time with Audubon elementary.

As a professional Cellist she performs with the Pueblo Symphony and is a regular sub for the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs.  She also serves as the Director of Educational Outreach for the Chamber Orchestra of the Springs. 

In her free time, she likes to hike, bike, paint, sculpt and dance.
