Mrs. Genna Dacanay

I'm Mrs. Dacanay (or Mrs. Dac). This is my 2nd year at RMS, and I'm so excited to be your 6th grade counselor! We'll be together all 3 years at Russell. I can't wait to get to know you better!
I earned my BA in English with a minor in Education at the University of Central Florida in 2012. After teaching 7th and 8th grade Language Arts for 3 years, my husband and I moved from Florida to Colorado. In December 2019, I graduated with a MA in School Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. Outside of school, I love reading, running with my dog, playing video games (Animal Crossing is a favorite!), and spending time outdoors.
