Mrs. Walker

Hello Blackhawks! I am one of two full-time school-based mental health providers at Audubon - to meet our wonderful school counselor, click here! I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas before moving to Tennessee for undergrad and graduate school. My husband's job brought us to Colorado Springs and we couldn't be happier! This is my first year at Audubon and I am grateful for the opportunity to work in such a wonderful community. I am certified by the State of Colorado as a School Psychologist and I also hold my national certification (NCSP). During my time as a school psychologist, I have served preschool, elementary, middle, and high school students. At Audubon, I conduct psychoeducational assessments to assist in determining a student's eligibility for special education services. I also get to collaborate with school staff, families, and community providers in developing plans that offer educational supports and/or services necessary for students to be successful in school. Additionally, I provide direct services to students in individual and group settings to facilitate the development of social, emotional, and behavioral skills necessary for school success. Although my primary role is supporting special education students, I am a member of the Student Success Team at Audubon, which is designed to support the educational needs of all students in the building. When I'm not at work, I enjoy skiing, playing volleyball, indoor cycling, and going to rockies games!

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to call or send an email!
