Welcome Back!
Posted by CORY HANSON on 8/23/2020 12:00:00 PMAll of the new learning content beginning in August 2020 for Keller music students will be posted and turned in on Schoology and SeeSaw. Though this site was home to the distance learning for Keller students in the spring of 2020, these two learning management systems (LMS) are designed for easy student access and interaction. Students will have regular WebEx meetings with all of their teachers and will have ample opportunity to practice with their LMS to receive, complete, and turn in all distance learning materials.
I am leaving all of the emergency distance learning materials on this site for easy access and reference if there was a tool, game, or assignment you'd like to revisit. I'm still happy to answer questions about those materials and the new materials throughout the process of distance learning this year.
Stay well!

Bye Bye for the Summer
Posted by CORY HANSON on 5/15/2020 8:00:00 AMIt's the last day of distance learning, and it's a bittersweet last day of school. I have been so proud of our students, families, and my colleagues on the Keller team for working so hard to keep teaching and learning during this difficult time. In honor of all the important people in the Keller community, the Masters of Mayhem shelved their usual silly antics and recorded this special tribute song. Stay safe and healthy this summer!

Inquiry Academy Projects
Posted by CORY HANSON on 5/7/2020 1:00:00 PMIn addition to regular classes on WebEx and here on the website, I am also taking part in a special inquiry academy program with students who opted in until the end of the year. We are working on long-term projects answering big-picture questions. Because of these duties, I will have more afternoon meetings and may be slower to respond to calls and emails during my 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. office hours. I will still endeavor to get everyone's questions answered (and react videos recorded) as quickly as I can. Thanks for your flexibility!

Bedroom Ballet Demonstration

Using music from Carnival of the Animals, students will be creating dances and movements based on the characteristics of each animal depicted in the music. I made a short demonstration video of two movement examples.
