Restorative Practices

    • Focuses on both the offender’s harms and the victim’s needs
    • Includes the victims, the offenders and possible Palmer community members
    • Requires offenders to take responsibility for their actions
    • Increase offender’s awareness and understanding of the full impact of their behavior
    • Is voluntary
    • Provides a safe and confidential opportunity to express genuine feelings, concerns, hurts, and apologies
    • Develops an “agreement” to which all participants can commit
    • Increases the respect of all participants
