Mykel Knight is the K-12 Literacy and Humanities Facilitator for Colorado Springs School District 11. She is also the primary point of contact for social studies curriculum. Mykel has been an educator and literacy advocate for 20 years and she has taught secondary grades through college. She holds an undergraduate degree in English Literature and masters degrees in Teaching Writing and Curriculum and Instruction from Humboldt State University. 

Mykel believes that literacy is the key to unlocking a child's future and impacting families for generations.
