Students are expected to complete the below assignments each day. These assignments are to practice our skills and to practice being responsible.

Thank you for providing a quiet place for your child to complete their homework.  

Your child will benefit even greater if you have them tell you about their work.

Reading: Complete the daily reading assignment, due the folowing day.

• Read 30 minute each day.
• Practice fluency with your timer. Read a text for 1 minute out loud. Reset the timer for 1 minute and retell all the details you remember in order.
  • Remember to tell the main idea.

This will help you grow your brain and make progress on your DIBELS and DAZE assessments.

Math: Complete the daily math assignment, due the following school day.

• Practice math fact fluency with your timer. Set the timer for 3 minutes. Choose a factor, 1-12, to practice. Say the problem along with the answer. EXAMPLE: Factor: 7  7 x1 = 7, 7 x 2 = 14, etc.
• If you arent able to recite the equation in 5 seconds or less, practice it more joften.

This will help you on our fluency checks and it will help you more efficiently complete your classroom work.
