It is a privilege to work collaboratively with the Colorado Springs School District 11 team!  As a proud District 11 graduate of Coronado High School, it is an honor to serve in a capacity that empowers students in our community.  I take great pride in initiating and delivering exceptional educational opportunities to ALL students.  Truly grateful with the opportunity to utilize twenty-two years of educational experiences in career and technical education, concurrent enrollment, counseling, individual career and academic planning, curriculum design, industry engagement and as a viable component of building out the Roy J Wasson Academic Campus to deliver transformational education for ALL students.

I am honored and proud to serve Colorado Springs District 11 in the role of Executive Director for K12 schools.  I am a graduate of District 11, and alumni of Wasson High School, Irving Junior High School, and Wilson Elementary School.  I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences from the University of Southern Colorado, and my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado.   My teaching career began at the elementary level, and continued as a middle school language arts teacher.  I have served as both an assistant principal and a principal at the middle school level for the past ten years.  In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, reading, and traveling.

It is with great pride that I am able to professionally serve the students, their families and our school teams throughout Colorado Springs School District 11 as the Executive Director of School Leadership. Being an alumnus of D11, my learning experiences took me through Washington Irving Junior High School and Mitchell High School. After earning my Associate's Degree at Otero Junior College, I then completed my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. My graduate studies included earning my Special Education Master's Degree and Principal Licensure degree from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. I have had the privilege to be on many great professional teams within a variety of amazing school communities within District 11 as a teacher and administrator at the elementary and middle school levels over the past 21 years supporting the growth and success of each student. My family and I enjoy traveling, the great outdoors of Colorado and spending time together with our extended family and friends.

It is an honor to serve on the D11 Team! As a fellow educator, I bring 22 years of experience within Elementary Education. I have served in a variety of roles from teacher, assistant principal, principal and, most recently, on the HR Team as the sole Performance Management Advisor for Denver Public Schools. Throughout my time in the field of education, I have most enjoyed my interactions with students, staff and community. I believe that human capital is our strongest asset and strive to ensure that each school has strong systems and structures in place to support all of our stakeholders. I received both my Bachelors and Masters in Elementary Education from the University of New Mexico (Go Lobos!) and am the proud mom of two high schoolers, who keep me humble and energized.
