Mrs. Shelley Crook

Hi! I am the Teaching and Learning Coach (TLC). I have been teaching for 27 years. I have only been at West Elementary for five years, but I have been a part of District 11 for many, many years. Years which not only include classroom teaching but also include being a student from Kindergarten through graduating from Palmer High School. Afterwards, I graduated from University of Northern Colorado with a Speech Communication/Elementary Education degree. I also have a Masters in Educational Technology from Lesley University. I have taught many grades but have a particular love for the primary grades.

I have many roles in my position. I work closely with Ms. Newton to insure that West students are getting the very best! I work with teachers to look at student data to inform instruction, provide resources and information to help them deliver the best instruction they can and I also coordinate interventions and interventionists to support students who need extra support.

At home, I am a mom of 2. I have a daughter who attends the University of Wyoming and a son who will graduate from Doherty HS in the spring. These two keep my husband and I busy, but when we have the chance, we love to attend concerts and go hiking. We also have 2 energetic dogs and 2 crazy cats, which makes life full of furry fun!

What's the Big Idea?
