Welcome to STEM class!  All classes will useSchoology throughout the 2022- 23 school year.  Assignments, updates, links, project examples, and any other course information will be posted there.  Contact me via email or call the school if you ever need any assistance accessing your Schoology site.  I look forward to getting to know my new sixth grade students and seeing some familiar seventh and eighth graders this year.

Welcome and thanks for visiting Mrs. Ryden's STEM class website.  This is my fourth year teaching at Mann Middle School, but I have been teaching for almost the past twenty years.  Most recently, I worked at the Challenger Learning Center in Colorado Springs as a mission commander for space simulations.  Prior to that, I taught at both Discovery Canyon Campus and Mountain View Elementary School in Academy District 20 as a technology specialist educator.  Inspiring students to engage in science, technology, engineering, and math is my passion, whether it's Lego robotics, stop motion production, or designing "Choose Your Own Adventure" apps.

When I'm not at Mann, you might catch me at Bear Creek Dog Park with our rescue dog, Scout, downhill skiing at Monarch, or mountain biking with my family.  At home I love to read, experiment in our garden, and cook tacos, Middle Eastern food, or any kind of pasta.  As a kid, I lived in Saudi Arabia and grew up in a tight-knit international community.  After graduating from Colorado College, I taught at the Rabat American School in Morocco to continue my love of travel and learning about other cultures.
