Hello!

My name is Karna Prime!

I've been a teacher in District 11 for the past 14 years.  I spent two years as a District 11 Substitute and 8 years at Taylor Elementary.  This is my fourth year teaching at Chipeta, and I couldn't be more thrilled!  My son is a 6th grader at Holmes Middle School and my daughter is a 10th grader at Palmer High School. 

I have lived in Colorado Springs, my entire life.  In fact, I am a student of District 11!  I  graduated from Coronado High School and attended The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs for both my BA and my MA.  Colorado is where I met my husband and began my family!  We are so happy to be in such a great city.  Our family enjoys spending time outdoors; camping, boating, and hiking!  

When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time in our backyard.  We have chickens, a big garden, and a beautiful patio.  I also enjoy walking and  playing with our dog, Josephine (Jo).
