Course Description: Non-native English speakers interested in pursuing a career in working with computers will expand their job-related vocabulary and conversations including equipment and network problems and giving technical support.

Students will practice reading and writing assignments for computer issues and employment responsibilities such as program languages, software applications and operating systems. This class is recommended to help second-language speakers prepare for the F+ Certification class.

This course is intended for those seeking an entry level job in the Information Technology Field.  It prepares them to take CompTIAA ITF+ Certification while training them on the essential customer service skills needed to begin a career in IT.  After completing the course, participants typically get employment as Tier 1 computer support specialists and can earn $15 to $18 per hour. 

This course is best suited to participants who are familiar with computers and want to acquire the base knowledge and skills to begin a career in IT.  This is not a course for those who want to learn computer applications for their own personal knowledge.

 Pre-requisites:  High School Diploma or Equivalency Recommended.  Basic computer literacy.  Ability to sit and type for long periods of time.
