Building Accountability Advisory Committee (BAAC)
What is the Wasson High School
BAAC?
The BAAC provides a
channel for communication among parents, teachers, students, and
administration. The BAAC provides representative input from the parent
community regarding numerous issues facing the school. The BAAC meets monthly
to communicate with school personnel regarding school programs, curriculum
change, district concerns, and future planning. In addition, the BAAC, along
with staff members, serves as a parent accountability committee to assess
needs, contribute to setting school goals and evaluating progress towards
those goals.
Meetings
The Wasson High School
BAAC meets monthly with Principal Sean Dorsey to provide parent input on
academic and school procedure issues. BAAC meets on the third Wednesday of
each month at 6:30 pm in the Wasson Library. All parents and community
members are invited to attend!
BAAC Mission
The mission of the Wasson
High School BAAC is to enhance the quality of education for all students by
providing a parent voice and perspective in the school. The BAAC strives to
represent all parents and cooperate with the Wasson staff in achieving the
school and community's primary mission of student achievement. The BAAC
endeavors to take a proactive role in guiding the academic and social
direction of Wasson High School.
Roles
The Wasson High School
BAAC completes its mission by:

Advising the Wasson High School Principal and Staff regarding the parents'
views on important matters.

Soliciting and responding to parents’ input on matters important to the
school and to parents.

Representing the interests of Wasson High School to the school district and
the community at large.

Participating in the development of, and reviewing the progress toward,
school accountability goals
BAAC Meetings will take
place on the third Wednesday of each month. Meetings
will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. in the Library. Meetings will conclude around
7:30 p.m. |
