Method of Grouping

Students in most subjects are grouped according to ability, past achievement, and teacher recommendation.

AP-----------Advanced Placement (college level)
H------------Honors
C------------Enriched
B------------Standard, acceptable for college admission requirements
A------------Basil, less demanding than standard courses and generally not acceptable for college admission requirements.

Grade Point Average (GPA) are computed as follows

A= 4 grade points
courses designated "H", or "AP"- 5 grade points
B=3 grade points
courses designated "H", or "AP"- 4 grade points
C=2 grade points
courses designated "H", or "AP"- 3 grade points
D=1 grade point
courses designated "H", or "AP"- 2 grade points
F=0 grade points
G  Not used in computations

Is determined by grade point average for all courses with the exception of : Student Assistants
