REQUESTING
A TRANSLATOR
Translators – Individuals fluent in a variety of languages are
available upon teacher request for parent/teacher conferences, IEP staffing and
other communications to our ELL families.
Volunteer
translators are recruited at Colorado College, UCCS, US Air Force Academy,
through our parent population and in the greater community. In order to give a
volunteer enough time to coordinate a school visit into their schedule we ask
for a minimum of one week to process a translator request. This
timeline applies to requests for written translation as well.
Volunteer
translators are available to translate Arabic, Bosnian, Chinese – Mandarin and
Cantonese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Spanish, Russian and
Vietnamese.
This
form is used to track the progress on a volunteer translator request.
