COLORADO SPRINGS SCHOOL DISTRICT ELEVEN
Dr. Terry N. Bishop, Ph.D., Superintendent
Volunteer Services

The                          project focus is to match student requests for an interview, a shadow, a tour or a six-week mentor program with an adult employed in a particular career field the student wishes to explore. The mentor, the student and the teacher to assure quality evaluate each match.

Requests are initiated by students completing an application form. A minimum of three weeks is required to process applications.  Applications for an entire class of students require a minimum of four weeks.  A confirmation is distributed to the teacher, student/parent, and volunteer informing them of the date, time and location of the scheduled SideKicks experience.  A Release of Liability must be reviewed and signed by the parent upon receipt of the confirmation.  A signed Release of Liability is required three days prior to the scheduled SideKicks experience.  If the Release of Liability is not signed and received by Volunteer Services three days prior to the scheduled experience the SideKicks experience will be cancelled and will not be rescheduled.

Applications may be submitted on the website at:
