How to request a Volunteer
Classroom Speaker
|Volunteer Classroom Speaker Request Form|
Review the information on the program or the volunteer speaker you would
like to request. Decide on a subject area and definite objective for the
resource volunteer. Please note that some topics are available only for certain
grades.
Use the Teacher Request form
in the Volunteer Notebook for general requests or select the correct
request form for that specific program/volunteer, (Please copy and leave originals in
the book) then pony or fax it to the Volunteer Services office. Or we
encourage you to view this information via the District 11 web page and place
your request(s) online as explained below.
Included in the notebook is also a form for requesting multiple speakers
for special event days. (Please copy and leave originals in the book)
Requests must be received by Volunteer Services three (3) weeks in
advance of the date a Resource Volunteer is requested.
To
view the program flyers or to make requests online please log on to the D11
website at:
1.
www.d11.org/volunteers/
2.
Then select All
Program Forms to access all of the forms.
3.
Make sure to click on submit when you have finished filling out
your form.
When the Resource Volunteer has been scheduled, the requesting teacher
and the Resource Volunteer will receive written notification confirming the
date, time and subject to be presented, as well as, an indication of equipment
or materials needed for the program.
Evaluation forms accompany the confirmation to give the requesting
teacher and Resource Volunteer an opportunity to comment on their experience.
This feedback is valuable to the volunteer, the teacher and
Volunteer Services. Volunteer
Services wants to insure a quality experience for District Eleven students.
Completing an evaluation allows us to improve the placement of the
program and provide suggestions to volunteers for improvement.
Thank you notes written by students are appreciated a great deal by the
Resource Volunteers. You can put them in the inter-district mail and we will
forward them to the volunteer.
