VOLUNTEERS
Finger Printing Volunteers
Finger Printing Procedures –
D11 volunteers who are requested by school staff to
perform their duties without supervision of a D11
employee must be fingerprinted and background checked as we do potential employees. The cost of a fingerprint
check is $54.50 and payment must be made at the time the
fingerprints are taken.
time the fingerprints are taken.
Step 1:
Potential volunteers begin at Volunteer
Services by completing a
Volunteer Services Fingerprint Checklist.
Step 2:
Elementary, middle and high schools may
authorize the charges to a Fund 10 account. Elementary
and middle schools ONLY may authorize the charge to a
Fund 74 account. Payment from a grant, Fund 22 is also
acceptable with signed authorization of the grant
manager. High school ONLY may remit a check, however
the check should accompany the individual (s) at the time
the fingerprints are taken. The journal entry form
needs to be used if charging to a fund 10, 74 or 22. It
is available online on the intranet. Completed and
signed journal entry forms must accompany the individual (s) when requesting fingerprints to be taken
OR must be sent to Volunteer Services before the
individual (s) come to have their prints taken.
Step 3:
The potential volunteer takes his/her completed
Volunteer Services Fingerprint Checklist form and the
payment, whether check or journal entry, to Accounting
to receive a receipt informing Security that they have
paid.
Step 4:
The potential volunteer proceeds to Security to have
their fingerprints taken. Security ONLY does
fingerprinting Tuesday and Thursday – 9:00 a.m. – 11:00
a.m. and Wednesday – 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Step 5:
Results of the fingerprint check can take up
to six weeks to return. A report will be shared with
