     Welcome to Mark Twain Elementary!  You are in for a wonderful experience as you enter the doors of Mark Twain!  Innovative and exciting programs and experiences await you.  Each and every day our outstanding staff is providing our students with a multitude of opportunities to learn and grow.  We hold high expectations for ALL our students and believe that each student is unique and can be successful.  We are dedicated to assisting our students reach his or her greatest potential in personal growth and development.  We are seeking to establish an environment in which children approach learning with self-assurance and enthusiasm.

    Our Mark Twain family consists of all staff, students, parents, and community members.  It is through the combined efforts of all these individuals that our goal for student achievement and success can become a reality.  The partnership between home and school should be open, positive and supportive.  Parents can play an active role in their child's education through, assistance with homework, ongoing communication with the teaching staff, attendance at programs and presentations, participation in school activities such as classroom volunteerism, Building Accountability Committee, Mark Twain Council.  We welcome questions and suggestions at any time.  We look forward to a close and positive relationship with our school community.

   In District 11 we are working toward the goals of lifelong learning and responsible citizenship and our Mark Twain community is part of this exciting adventure.  Together we will make a difference.
