English Language Learner Transportation

General

Students who participate in the English Language Learner (ELL) program will be provided transportation services consistent with regular education transported and non-transported criteria.  Requirements will be evaluated at least annually to determine the safest, most reliable and most economic option.

Request for ELL Transportation Services

The ELL school site will complete the "ELL Transportation Form" and FAX it to Transportation.  The school will be notified of the route, location, time of departure and drop-off time if the student qualifies for transportation services.  The school will be responsible for notification of the ELL student and parents concerning the schedule.

The school sites, for High School ELL students that are eligible for Springs Metro services, should send a request for bus passes to the Director of Transportation.  Requests will contain the student’s full name and address and the number of bus passes required.  Once received by Transportation it will take approximately 7 school days to process the request and have bus passes available for pick-up.
