SCHOOL BUS DRIVER
APPLICANT INFORMATION

GENERAL
Part Time:  Minimum 4 Hrs/day, school days, school year
Duty Time will vary within the hours of 6:00am - 9:00am and 1:30pm-5:00pm.
Time Off - Holidays, School Breaks, Summer etc.
Pay Days are twice monthly (1st and the 15th)
Pay Rates:   TRAINING:    $7.02
                      DRIVERS:     $11.33

                                     
EXTRA DUTY OPPORTUNITIES
Activity & Noon Routes and field trips:

TRAINING:
Classroom- Approximately 25 hours.
In-Vehicle- Approximately 10 - 15 hours.
Drivers Assistant Class - Approximately 6 hours.
1st aid/CPR training - Approximately 9 hours.
OJT, Observation & Evaluation - Approximately 89 work days.

REQUIREMENTS & PROCESS

• Current MVR is required: attach to application.
• Background check – (District Provided) No cost to prospective employee.
• Fingerprints - (District Provided) No cost to prospective employee.
• Pre-Employment drug test/random testing during the school year. (District Provided) No cost to   prospective employee.
• Risk Management physical screening. (District Provided) No cost to prospective employee.
• D.O.T. physical (District Provided) No cost to prospective employee.
• Permit/License - four written tests - cost of permit is $10.
  CDL - $35 (Costs borne by prospective employee)
