| Born in Pueblo, Colorado, she knew
her future lay in music. She
is Mrs. Barbara Thompson and she sang in all the major performances in school and then in the public venue all the way through
high school. College was interrupted by a four-year-enlistment in
the Air Force as the first female vocalist with the Air Force Falconnaires.
While at the Air Force Academy, she met and married Bruce Thompson. Mrs.
Thompson returned to school in 1984, this time with an avid interest in
teaching, having dealt with her daughter's learning disability for years. She loves learning! Her Master's Degree is in Curriculum and Instruction, and she has taught K-12 in various circumstances. If she has learned anything on her journey, it is simply that she has lots more to learn! |
