El Pomar Youth in Community Service

The Program

Mission

El Pomar Youth in Community Service (EPYCS) is a leadership experience that teaches high school students the importance of service, philanthropy, and the non-profit sector, while empowering them to directly impact Colorado communities through grant making.

Tesla High School art teacher Fran Colby and EPYCS students, working with the El Pomar Youth in Community Service program (EPYCS) and Coca-Cola, are working on obtaining  a sizable grant. The students are selling 100 cases of 20-oz bottles of Coke at $20 each. The money they raised secures a Community Grant from El Pomar for $7,500.

This money is awarded in grants to nonprofit organizations, and $2,500 of the grant money can be awarded to departments and projects at Tesla High School.
