ABOUT OUR SCHOOL: Winfield Scott Stratton Elementary School is named after one of Colorado's early mining millionaires known for his many charitable acts.  To read more about him, please click this link: http://www.coloradovacation.com/history/colorado-springs-william-stratton.html Stratton Elementary School was built in 1953 and opened to a developing neighborhood near the Colorado Springs Country Club. Fifty years later, Stratton is a "school of choice" in the city of Colorado Springs.
