The Revolutionary War Ball is Coming Soon! On Tuesday, May 6th, the fifth grade students will be take part in an integrated instructional unit pertaining to the Revolutionary War Period. Because we know that students learn well through simulations, we have hired “River Crossing, Inc.” to enhance this unit of history standards. Thanks to generous donations from our own PTA and Chipotle, this program is being offered to our students at NO COST! In addition to readings and discussions in the classrooms, students will benefit from the learning experiences listed below.

A note about the Ball: Students are encouraged to dress in costumes from the time period. Girls and mothers may wear long or dressy dresses from home. Boys and fathers may wear white shirts and dark pants with tube socks for the knickers effect. Costumes can also be found/created at Goodwill, neighbors, or rental shops. The ball will feature an orchestra with instruments from the time period, a dance instructor, and refreshments. Due to limited space in the gym, we ask that siblings not attend this event.
