Accelerated Reader is a reading practice program designed to encourage students to read books at their tested reading level and provide measurable feedback on the student's progress.

 

With the Renaissance Home Connect parents can be  involved in the AR program by linking the school and home. By logging on from your home computer, students and parents can:

  • See progress toward reading goals.
  • Review results on AR quizzes.
  • View number of books read, words read,
    and quizzes passed.
  • And much, much more.

 

Use AR BookFinder to create customized AR quiz lists for your child! Scott Elementary students may test on ANY of the 100,000+ quizzes that are listed in AR Bookfinder.  New quizzes are added weekly. We have over 7,000 AR titles in the Scott library.  You may find other AR books at the public library, bookstores or in your own home collection.

example: Scott library does not have Goosebump books in its collection. They are, however AR books and students may take a quiz on them if they are in their reading level. The level may be determined by looking the book up on www.arbookfind.com.
