MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL:
The Palmer High
School staff is dedicated to pursuing academic excellence for all of our
students – we value our diversity and grow from the influence of an
incredible community around us. We are committed to the partnerships with
our community that assure student success for today and tomorrow.
Palmer has a
reputation for providing a quality education in a safe, secure and positive
climate. We want our students to think as they are engaged in community
service, civic debate and rigorous courses. High achieving students are the
result! The State of Colorado rates Palmer’s overall academic performance
as “High” – based on state and national assessments of student achievement.
Over the last ten years, our students have earned over 140 National Merit
Scholarship honors, and seven Boettcher scholarships. Last year’s seniors
were offered scholarships in excess of $8.4 million. In addition, Palmer
ranks in the top ten percent of schools worldwide in the number of
International Baccalaureate Diploma candidates, 80% of whom earned the
Diploma in May of 2004.
