| MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPAL: At
Buena Vista our school climate is built on the belief that mutual respect is
positive and necessary and that our parents are a vital component of the
school. Frequent communication between school and home promotes a great deal
of parent involvement. Positive behavior is taught as well as reinforced
through the Caught Being Super program and a school-wide Bully Proofing
initiative.
Our teachers are students too. They continually take classes to
improve their teaching and the quality of academic achievement. The school
is beginning its second year of a three-year commitment to improve academic
achievement by implementing the School-wide Title I plan that was developed
by a group of parents and teachers.
I urge you, our Buena Vista parents, to get involved. It's the best way
to show your children that you value their education.
