SABIN STARS 4th Quarter 6th GRADE 7th GRADE 8th GRADE
Sabin student, CODY SMITH, has been selected to take part in a truly historic occasion—the Inauguration of the 44th President of the United States!!! From January 17 through 21, 2009, Cody will take part in what is the most historic and celebrated event to occur in our nation and which is the hallmark of our democratic government—the peaceful transfer of power to our newly elected president. While the entire world watches the President of the United States take the formal oath of office on television, Cody will be among the privileged few who experience this momentous occasion in person! As an Inaugural Scholar and special guest on the National Mall, Cody will not only bear witness as the President of the United States is sworn into office, he also will meet a major presidential candidate, White House officials, congressional staff, political experts and special VIPs such as Lance Armstrong, James Carville and Marlee Matalin. Following the inauguration, Cody will experience the sights and sounds of a jubilant nation during the inaugural parade and even attend a Black Tie Gala Inaugural Ball. Attending the conference also represents an excellent opportunity to explore the many cultural and historic sites that only our nation’s capital can offer. Cody has been awarded this special opportunity due to his scholarly achievements as an alumnus of both the Junior National Young Leaders Conference (JrNYLC) and the Junior National Young Leaders Conference Alumni Boston (JrNYLC Alumni Boston). At the conference, Cody will be honored as a distinguished young leader and accomplished student.
Congratulations to the following talented artists:
