Sabin’s Honor Roll, High Honors, and Principal’s Honor Roll recipient’s names will be posted and printed in each newsletter after the quarter ends.

Each month each team of teachers selects two students who will be recognized for their citizenship and/or appropriate school spirit that demonstrates Sabin Middle School pride. Parents and students receive a letter that announces the student’s selection and includes an invitation to a recognition program, which is usually held before school so both parents can attend. It is hoped that the Sabin Stars program will reach those students who deserve recognition for being solid citizens with positive attitudes.

.5 Grade Point Average GPA Improvement

Students who improve their GPA over the last grading period will be given certificates in front of their peers at lunchtime. Students deserve recognition for their hard work and attention to improving academics.

Each team gives awards as they see appropriate. Certificates, special privileges, pizza parties, and honor cards are some of the incentives and awards.

At any time throughout the year, students may be recognized for any positive action. Referrals can be given for helping a teacher or student, or improving grades or citizenship.

Students may be eligible for a monetary scholarship from the Coca Cola Company.
