PLAGIARISM

Definition-  

Plagiarism is the act of presenting the words, ideas, images, sounds,or other creative expression of others as your own.

Examples-                             

• cutting and pasting blocks of text from electronic sources without documenting
• copying a friends work
•  buying or borrowing papers

Consequences                     

Unintentional- One chance only!

Assignment must be re-done for credit

1st Offense-          

• Parent notification
• In-School Alternative (ISA)
• Assignment must be completed again for ½ credit                                       

2nd Offense-         

• “0” credit for assignment                                         
• Parent notification                                                                 
• Out of School Suspension (OSS)
• Assignment must be completed again for no credit                                      

3rd Offense-         

• Automatic Failure of the class
• Parent notification                       
• Out of School Suspension (OSS)
• Assignment must be completed again for no credit
