Ala Carte
Two Ala
carte
windows
are open
for
students
who wish
to
purchase
"other
items."
Purchases
made at
these
windows
are
"extras"
and are
not
considered
as part
of a
school
lunch.
Computerized
System
Our
computerized
meal system
allows
parents to
pre-pay for
their
student's
meals.
Student's
Free,
Reduced, or
Paid meal
eligibility
status will
be kept
completely
confidential
with this
new system.
All
Middle and
Highs School
Students
will use
their
Student ID
card at the
cashier
station, as
they come
through the
lunch or
breakfast
line.
Student
meals will
be
automatically
recorded
when the
Student ID
card is read
on the
cashier's
bar code
reader. A
student can
deposit
money on
their
Cafeteria
account and
the amount
of their
meal
purchase
will be
automatically
deducted
from the
account.
Money can
also be
deposited on
the account
for ala
carte or
snack
purchases.
Parents may
request
certain
purchases to
be "flagged"
(e.g. food
allergies,
lunch only,
no ala
carte,
etc.).
Please ask
for a lunch
restriction
form for
this option.
You can
make
payments to
a student
lunch
account at
any time for
any amount.
Checks
should
include your
student's
full name.
A student ID
number is
also
helpful.
Unless
notified in
writing,
funds are
available
for meals
and ala cart
purchases.
Checks
should be
for
cafeteria
use only. A
separate
check must
be written
for
activities
in other
areas of the
school. It
is also
possible to
make
payments to
a lunch
account
online at
the District
website.
There is a
small charge
for this
service and
payments may
take up to 3
days to be
processed.
No charges
will be
allowed, so
please keep
track of
your
balance.
You may
request a
print out of
your
student's
account at
any time.
This will
allow you to
check their
balance and
to see what
choices they
are making.
If you have
any
questions,
please feel
free to
call
328-7032
before or
after meal
serving

Free and Reduced Lunch
If your student qualified for free or reduced price meals last year, he/she will be allowed to eat for the first couple of weeks of school based on last year's qualification, however, you must send in a new application to re-qualify or he/she will be dropped from the roster. Your one application should include all of your students enrolled in District 11 schools as well as all family members living in the home. Applications were sent to student homes. If you did not receive an application, please ask for one in the office or see a lunchroom cashier. You will receive a letter letting you know if you have been accepted. Retain this letter for future reference. Many extracurricular activities offer a reduced fee to free or reduced meal students, and this letter is your proof of status. Some households will receive notice of pre-determined eligibility. If you receive this notice, you need not submit another application. |
