The Saint Bernard Statue

     Many people wonder about the metal Saint Bernard statue that so proudly stands in front of our building. The story behind him is mysterious to a lot of people at Sabin. When was he built? By whom? What was the exact purpose? Well, I am going to tell you.  The famous statue Saint Bernard's history is finally being revealed. The Saint Bernard statue was built in 1986. He was put together by boys and girls in the shop class. They each cut out a piece of metal to contribute to the dog. If you look closely you can see some names and comments by the students on some of these pieces of metal. Some rumors are that there is a secret time capsule inside the dog that was put in there before the statue was completed. That rumor is not true. People started that rumor a couple years ago when the time capsule inside the school was opened.  The dog out front is the Sabin Symbol. I hope it remains standing as long as the school does.
