The SALT meeting was held
October 3rd.
We began the meeting by
discussing the Rudy Crisis plan. Several
action items were decided on:
1.
Update the plan in a few areas
2.
Visit the evacuation site to
discern its appropriateness
3.
Conduct Rudy’s version of a
“shelter in place”
with
the fourth and fifth graders.
DIBELs parent night
This
evening activity was discussed. The
discussion focused on ways to invite and engage parents who typically do not
attend these type of events. Since
the meeting, DIBELS night was held. Attendance
was somewhat low. The following was
done to encourage participation.

fliers were sent home
~~Daily
announcements by teachers and on the morning announcements
~~The
event was advertised on the marquee and Rudy website.
~~An
all call went out Monday night prior to the event.
~~the
price of the evening was kept to a minimum
