     Welcome to Fourth Grade!

 Dear Fourth Grade Parents and Families,

          I want to welcome all of you and your children to a fabulous fourth grade year!  We have a great deal of fun and interesting activities and field trips planned which I am excited about.  I hope you are able to attend the Back to School night, so I can tell you all about the curriculum, field trips, and procedures for fourth grade.  In addition, I am looking forward to getting to know each and every child and providing them with the best education possible. Your child will work hard, be challenged, and will grow a great deal this year.  I am always amazed by the growth I see in each child every year which is one reason why I teach! 

          I have been involved in education for thirteen years.  I began my career as a paraprofessional and this will be my fifth year of teaching in my own classroom. This is my fourth year teaching fourth grade. I earned a BA degree in Liberal Studies at San Francisco State University and then continued on to earn a teaching license in the Multiple Subject Teaching Credential Program.  I am licensed to teach multiple subjects K-6, and I am currently working towards my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at UCCS.  In addition, I have a background in art, having taken many art classes in college and during my free time. 

          In my free time I enjoy drawing, painting, reading, and dancing. I am excited for the opportunity to integrate more art lessons in the curriculum since art is no longer a specials rotation at Rudy.
