Welcome to All;

It is a privilege to have been selected by the students, staff, and community to serve as the Principal of Rogers Elementary. I consider service to others to be the highest professional honor. At Rogers, our daily actions are designed to encourage and support young students to understand and impact the world they live in. The staff and I look forward to continuing the opportunity to serve the students and staff and to provide them opportunities for academic growth in a safe learning environment. 

It is not uncommon for parents and members of the Rogers community to enter into our school and say, “The school still looks great, yet is seems a little smaller than it was when I was a student here.” Former students still sense and feel the great tradition of the past continuing in our building today. Former students of Rogers now bring their own children, nieces/nephews, and in some cases their grandchildren back to Rogers because they know their family members will receive the education that was instilled with the same values.

Our current students represent their parent’s values and desire to be successful. They look to the adults in their lives for safety and for the academic learning opportunities that will enhance their lives. The students want us to present them with educationally challenging items, help them explore new and challenging topics, while understanding and respecting their individual learning needs. We at Rogers welcome the challenge and look forward to the learning with the students from our new experiences.

You do not have to look far to see the value the parents and community place on the school and the educational process here at Rogers. From the landscaping projects, mural by the front entrance, the beautiful stage curtains in the cafeteria, the donated materials in the classrooms, and the volunteers/business partners hours and donations have all positively influenced student achievement and the culture of the school.

The Rogers professional education team is a dedicated group of individuals who provide standards-based education and high expectations for all children. They provide each individual student with the academic tools and supports to become successful in their learning.  Through the implementation of the Continuous Quality Improvement processes, students and staff are actively engaged in aligning individual and class goals to the school and district goals.  Students work with their teachers in setting goal, take ownership of their learning, and the monitoring of their own achievement data. 

At Will Rogers Elementary we realize we are working with future leaders, teachers, business owners, and service professionals. We are proud to be of service to them, their respective families, and the community in helping them to achieve their goals.
