Our school curriculum is aligned with state content standards, and our programs are based on meeting students’ needs on an individual basis to increase student achievement. 

The Penrose staff works in partnership with parents, community members and businesses to promote school success for all students in a caring environment.

Penrose Elementary’s strong commitment to academic achievement is realized through a variety of instructional strategies in which the staff has received extensive training. Basic skills are viewed as important foundations for higher levels of learning. Literacy is a primary focus to develop expertise in reading, writing and math. Science is a “hands on” experience that encourages discovery, problem solving and teamwork. 

Most of all, the Penrose staff is committed to provide excellence for each child for the purpose of developing lifelong learners ready to meet the challenges in their future.
