My aspirations for art span my entire life beginning in grade school when I received an award for a watercolor painting of a yacht. I began to focus on the arts offering to create logos and design murals for class or school projects.

I am an artist of many media and I earned my B.A. in Art Education degree from Western Illinois University. Later I earned an M.A. in Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in Painting and Ceramics at Adams State College.

As an active member in the arts community, I have taken numerous awards and recognition for my photographs, digital art, prints, and paintings.

My love for photography keeps me open to all photographic formats. I strive to capture moods and atmosphere in my compositions and I am known for my family themes as well as my inspirations from childhood memories. In fact my supportive family is always willing to be depicted in my creative work. My hope is that the viewer leaves with a sense of remembrance.
