President Hasling was absent. Also present: Superintendent Dr. Terry Bishop, Deputy Superintendent of Personnel Support Services Dr. Mary Thurman, Chief Financial Officer/Deputy Superintendent Mr. Glenn Gustafson, Deputy Superintendent of Educational Support Services Mr. Michael Poore, Human Resources Division Head Mr. David Schenkel, and Secretary to the Board of Education Julie Rene Stevens.

Director Mann seconded the motion. Director Gudvangen moved to amend the motion by removing the discussion on: negotiations [per C.R.S. 24-6-402(4)(e)] [particular matter: Teacher Negotiations]. Director Tanner seconded the motion. Discussion followed, during which time Director Null withdrew his motion (the main motion). Director Gudvangen then moved to convene into executive session to discuss: legal advice [per C.R.S. 24-6-402(4)(b)] [particular matter: Teacher Negotiations]. Director Tanner seconded the motion. Discussion followed. It was clarified that the Board of Education would convene into executive session to discuss legal advice and that there may be a second executive session to follow. The motion, to convene into executive session to discuss legal advice [per C.R.S. 24-6-402(4)(b)] [particular matter: Teacher Negotiations], passed, 5/0. Directors Bobbitt and Hasling were absent.
