A Message From The Principal

North Middle School has a long 85 year history in Colorado Springs.  We currently house over 700 students in a traditional program and in the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme.  We also have an ELL program, the AVID program, and an SIED program.  We offer a wide range of electives: band, orchestra, choir, guitar, drama, forensics, PE, art, home Economics, Gateway to Technology, Video Production & Film Study, French, Spanish, and even Mandarin Chinese!  We utilize interventions such as READ180 and Success Maker math.

Our school mission statement guides us as we learn and teach and go about “developing the whole child.”   It means we will be challenging students to think creatively, to problem solve, to seek knowledge, and to put forth an effort that is above and beyond what they are used to.  It means that we expect students to do whatever it takes to succeed.
