WELCOME Mitchell welcomes students into the Media Center to meet their educational or leisure reading needs. The Center's holdings includes 20,000 books, subscriptions to nearly 50 periodicals, almost 2,000 non-print items, and a variety of electronic information sources. The following information is designed to aid students in their use of the Center. Students are required to be on task and observe all school rules pertaining to noise, candy, pop, etc. Students are required to be in possession of their student ID before materials may be checked out of the Media Center and to use the computers. All materials circulate with the exception of reference and periodicals. Print materials circulate for a two-week period and are checked out at the Circulation Desk. Non-print materials are checked out at the audiovisual desk. Print materials should be returned to the book drop by the circulation desk. Students may renew a book one time if needed. If you lose a book, you will be charged for that book. Students will be allowed to print all class-related assignments in the computer lab. Printing of database articles, books or periodical articles, microfiche copies, and personal copies will be charged at the rate of ten cents per copy. Surfing will be allowed provided the machines are not needed for research or assignments. |
