Project Lead The Way

Project Lead The Way seeks to create dynamic partnerships with our nation’s schools to prepare an increasing and more diverse group of students to be successful in engineering and engineering technology programs by providing:

  • An innovative and relevant high school pre-engineering curriculum

  • An interactive, project-based middle school technology curriculum

  • A comprehensive teacher training program

  • Continuous improvement in both curriculum and training

  • Quality assurance through systematic program evaluation, and leadership and support to all schools and students on the national and state/regional level

We are proud that we continue to meet our objectives which are to:

  • Increase the number of young people who pursue Engineering and Engineering Technology programs requiring a two or four year college degree.

  • Provide clear standards and expectations for student success in the program.

  • Provide leadership and support that will produce continuous improvement and innovation in the program.

  • Provide equitable and inclusive opportunities for all academically qualified students.

  • Reduce the future college attrition rates within four and two year Engineering and Engineering Technology degree programs.

  • Contribute to the continuance of America's national prosperity.

Mitchell High School Mission

The parents, students and staff of Mitchell High School believe that all students will learn in our safe, academically rigorous environment, which is driven by high expectations and standards-based instruction. Our Staff will work with parents and community members in developing students who are responsible, literate and caring citizens.

We value our diverse student body. We will collaborate in our learning community to address the various educational needs of our students. We accept no excuses for failure as we prepare students for post-secondary experiences.
