Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Program at Mann MS

The education of the deaf and hard-of-hearing has always been a situation that requires many choices. What sign system to use? Should speech be implemented? What is our next step?

Mann Middle School’s Program for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing is adamant about the success of your student. We already have a variety of hearing impaired students with a myriad of hearing losses and sign systems, all working towards their goals at our school.

In addition to students’ education, we also seek to promote Deaf awareness among the staff and peers of the population at Mann. This means bringing in speakers from the outside, sign language clubs, and a visible participation with all activities.
