In the ever expanding internet age, video rich content is used for education and entertainment.  Media Production Services provides assistance to District 11 students and staff in the audio/video production arena.  Our staff embraces a culture of constant innovation.  Through the department District 11 offers the multi-format podcasting of the weekly meetings of the Board of Education.  Podcasts should be available on www.d11.org within 48 hours of meetings conclusion.  24 Hours a day Seven days a week Media Production Services, through the District's Comcast channel 16 schedules educational and entertaining programming that showcases both academic and athletic achievements of our student body.  Additionally we provide up to date information for parents and the community supporting the goal of communicating and engaging frequently with our customers.  Examples include snow closure and delay information, coverage of public engagements by the Superintendent, and decisions by the Board of Education. 
 
Students can access multiple vehicles to address their interest in audio and video production via the Media Production Services staff.  Students sign up to fill positions during the districts numerous sports and concert broadcasts.  Those involved in History day or French language competitions make use of the Media Production studio facilities under the supervision of staff.  Tuesday and Thursday in the 6:00 PM time slot channel 16 features student produced video programming.  Activities that support the goal of demonstrating improvement of student achievement.

District staff is served in a multitude of areas as well.  Schools receive assistance with Promotional videos, while teachers receive assistance with educational materials.  District managers access opportunities for staff trainings, promotion, and event coverage.

District 11 board meetings can been seen live Wednesday nights on Comcast Channel 16, Regular meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. and Work sessions begin at 6:00 p.m. unless otherwise posted, and are rebroadcast on Saturday and Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m.
