Accelerated Reader (AR) is an online program that lets teachers create a customized reading program to meet the needs of every student. It is a K-12 reading software program that integrates technology into the curriculum and can help differentiate instruction for students. Through using information generated by the AR program, teachers can help students select books that are difficult enough to keep them challenged but not too difficult to cause frustration.
