Mrs. Senyard celebrated Constitution Day by dressing up like Betsy Ross.  She shared books and information about the importance of our constitution.  Mrs. Senyard brings history alive!

In February, we voted for the Colorado Children's Book Award.  Our King winners are Arnie the Donut by Laurie Keller (picture book) and Junie B., First Grader: aloha-ha-ha by Barbara Park (junior book).  Thanks to all the students who read lots of books and voted for their favorites.  The Colorado winners are Arnie the Donut by Laurie Keller and A Dog's Life by Ann Marting.  Click here is see the 2009 booklist.  

Mrs. Senyard has compiled lists of books that are of interest to students at various grade levels.  The books that appear in red are award winners, personal favorites, and Colorado Children's Choice nominees.  You can find these books in the King library.
