· Knows story elements (main characters, setting, problem/solution)

· Organize thoughts in a logical sequence

· Uses capitals and correct punctuation marks on all sentences

· Write a complete sentence with noun, verb, and detail

· Can identify short and long vowel sounds

· Spell 1^st grade core spelling words correctly

Math

· Read, write, and order numbers through 100

· Recognize coins and know the value of each

· Tells time to the hour and half hour

· Knows how to make reasonable estimates

· Knows addition/subtraction facts through 12

· Follows rules

· Works independently

· Follows directions

· Listens attentively
