The Keller Library Information Center Mission

The mission of the Keller Library Information Center is to ensure that staff and students become effective users of ideas and information
From Information Power: Building Partnerships for learning. (1988) American Association of School Librarians.

To accomplish this mission, we will:

Provide access to quality books and other reading materials.

• Collaborate together with all teachers to teach Information Literacy as a regular part of literacy, science, social studies, and/or math curriculum.

• Provide special times for school-wide reading promotion and reading rewards, as well as support for all teachers in their classroom reading reward programs.

• Teach all users about access, use, and evaluation of information.

• Implement technology in creative ways to teach learning standards.
